Christ Is All Joy: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8...Blogging Again!

It has been a few years since I have blogged almost 3 1/2 years! Wow I had not realized it had been that long! What happened? Oh yeah I added a few more blessings to the Conley Clan. September 1st 2009 was when we started looking at going from 5 times the love to 7 times the love. I would pick 2 year old Noah and 3 month old Matthew up once during the week for the day and then we would also pick them up Sunday morning and keep them for the day. It took a few months to jump through all the hoops and red tape, but once it was all done we knew they had found their forever family

Asher was born May 3rd 2011 and came home with us Saturday May 7th as an early Mother's Day present! Before we had a name chosen for him I felt the Lord tell me that this baby was a Blessing. So for a short time his name was Baby Blessing. So when it came time to make a decision on his name we wanted to have th word blessing in the meaning.
Asher: Means "happy" or "blessed" in Hebrew. Asher in the Old Testament is a son of Jacob and Leah's handmaid Zilpah, and the ancestor of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. He has been a blessing to and for our family from the very begining!

I am now the Mom of 8! I never thought I would be saying that! LOL! We are now even 4 girls & 4 boys. We have 8 times the love! The kids keep me real busy to say the least. This will not be the last time I say this so I just wanted to state it here... Boys are from another planet!!! :) No, really I love my boys so much, but they are from another planet! For 3 years I only had one boy and 4 girls. Having the boys together and close in age has made me realize that they are unique little creatures. :)

I have been encouraged by a few people to start blogging again. I began realizing how much I missed blogging when I looked back on my old post. So here I begin again with an update on the Crazy Conley Clan.

Life is always a "little" Crazy in our household. Homeschooling is still going strong with the Crazy Conley Clan. So this year I have a Sophomore (Kimberly-15 1/2), 8th grader (Kaeleigh-14), 6th grader (Nathan-12), 5th grader (Kasey-10 1/2), 3rd grader (Destiny-8 1/2), Kindergartner (Noah-5), Preschooler (Matthew-3), & Toddler (Asher-17months). Kimberly, Kaeleigh, Nathan, Kasey, Destiny, & Noah (the six oldest) are participating in Sequoia Christian Home Educators Chorale (SCHEC) choir. Directed by the amazing Chelsea McCafferty and Rosie playing the piano. They both have an amazing amount of patience and love for the kids. The kids love having music as part of their schooling. The 3 youngest boys are involved in a homeschool co-op where we get together once a week and we do science, arts/crafts, service projects, and exploration days! We are have an awesome time! I am loving have time with just them (No older kids allowed LOL!)! The six oldest are also on the year round swim team! It is great for the kids and they all love it. It gets a little chilly in the winter months, they only complain a little (a lot sometimes) when they get out of the heated pool.
