Destiny

In a family your bound to have at least one child who can really set you to giggling over the things they say or do!  With 8 kids I have more than one!  Destiny Dawn Esther is one of mine.
A couple of months ago Destiny had been complaining about needing a new pair of shoes.  So I mentally went through her closet and new she had a pair of tie shoes.  Every couple of weeks she would mention to me about needing new shoes.  My answer to her was always something like this ... you don't need a new pair you have a perfectly good pair right there!  To prove my point her is a picture of the shoes!

So I am thinking maybe she does not want to wear them because she does not want to take the time to tie them, or she saw some of the other kids get new shoes that they needed.  I was not sure what her reason was, but I was not going to spend money on new shoes when she had a good pair already. She never told me why she thought she needed new shoes.  Fast forward a couple of months... 
Grama found on the ground a pair of new socks that she had given to Destiny just that morning. They were white in the morning, but now at the end of the day the bottoms were filthy!  She asked Destiny if she was walking around outside with just her socks and she said no my shoes did that.  I said bring them here they need to be washed... this is what we found...

Yes those are 3 big holes!  I am not a mind reader these shoes fit they looked fine to me.  I did not think to check the bottom of the shoes!!!  Why she never told me she had big holes on the bottoms I will never know.  From now on I will be checking the bottom of her shoes!!!
